Hi,

I am thinking of bringing my thai girlfriend over for a visit of 6months to the UK hopefully around October time. One of the things that I was wondering is how much do you usually have to show you have in the bank to consider that you can 'fund' the holiday. My parents will be acting as the sponsor and are both in full time employment so its just a case of how much is usually required to be shown minimum, as I have looked on this forum and not seen anything on it.

any information would be helpful and appreciated

Thankyou

There is no fixed amount which is required to demonstrate that your g/f can be supported: it's more of a sense that paying for your g/f's trip won't place your parents in financial hardship. Your parents will have to show that they can live up to their offer of sponsorship by providing their wage slips, bank statements and evidence of savings.

Scouse.
