SOURCE: Pattaya One News: August 2nd 2008

Construction Worker shot in the groin by 4 men dresses as Police Officers.

In the early hours of Saturday Morning, Police Lieutenant Choosak from Banglamung Police Station made his way to a Constructors Campsite located near the train track in Naklua to investigate a shooting. Khun Surachai aged 28 was injured in the shooting and rushed to Hospital. Through the pain he was able to explain to Police that he was awoken by the sound of a Cockerel. He woke up and went to use the Toilet.

On the way he spotted 4 men who were apparently wearing uniforms similar to Police Officers. One of the men approached Khun Surachai and told him to go back to bed as they were in the process of purchasing Yabba Tablets as part of an undercover Police operation. Khun Surachai was suspicious of the men and did not comply.

One of them then produced a gun in anger and shot him in his groin area. Police confirmed that no such undercover operation was taking place in the area at the time and suspect the men were not Police Officers or volunteers, however all possible avenues of investigation are being explored at this time as Police hunt for the shooter and his accomplices.
