January 14, 200323 yr I have seen several companys offering visa run packages to fly you out of Thailand and back , in one day ,to obtain a non immigrant visa type - O, valid for up to 8 months, for around 11.500 Baht. has any one done this type of arranged package visa run, and am i correct in thinking that if applying for this type of visa , outside of Thailand you do not have to show on your application , an income / money in a Thai bank ..? any comments on this subject would be welcome.
March 6, 200323 yr These operators seem to do the job. Going with your passport is a must. Too risky to send it unaccompanied these days. The stamps in and out are carefully perused by Immigration
March 8, 200323 yr Thank you, but i should like to have adresses of these agents for package visa run and price coz i don't wanna let them do it alone. I will go with my passport Thanks again. I like this forum
March 8, 200323 yr Go for a visa run by yourself instead. These agents will try to sell you an non-travel-visa deal, and that's troublesome and could even be illegal and set you into trouble.
March 9, 200323 yr yes visa run by yourself. do that means that we cant use visa agents in Chulia street in Penang or the people outside consulate in Vientiane?
March 9, 200323 yr There should be no problem using a 'reliable' third party locally if the Consulate has no objections. This is standard procedure anywhere in the world for visa applications when people are in the country. It is when the passport travels across borders without the real holder, or is out of the owners hands for an extended period, that there can be problems.
