Thai Girlfriend Visiting Uk?

Featured Replies

Hi,

My girlfriend is 19 (i am too), and i'm just wondering what are the chances of her being able to come to the UK for around 3/4 weeks to visit?

The reason that it is only 3/4 weeks is because she would be wanting to come here during her university holidays. After those 3/4 weeks, she would have to return to Thailand to continue uni. She would be staying with me, so she wouldn't need to pay for accomodation.

Her aunt lived in London for a while last year, but her visa has ran out and has returned to Thailand (if that would be any additional evidence).

Just wondering what the chances are of being able to get this visa? I know 19 is young, but as I say, it's just for a trip during her university holidays - would she have to wait until she is 20 to get the visa?

Also, what kind of things does she need to get that visa?

Thanks

Just because you are both 19 does not mean that your girlfriend has a lesser chance of getting a visit visa. The usual rules apply; i.e. evidence of available funds for the trip, accommodation, and your relationship. Your girlfriend would also need a letter from the university which gives details of her course and the date by which she is expected to resume her studies.

Scouse.
