Is it possible to get from Hua Hin to Pattaya by bus or train? I don't want to have to go up to Bangkok to get transport from there and go back down.

bus/ minibus to bkk then another to pattaya i'm afraid

unless someone has set up a new minibus service recently that i am not aware of

Most hassle-free way is to take the Dusit shuttle to Bangkok which arrives at 1:30 pm in time for the Dusit shuttle to Pattaya which leaves at 2 pm.

By car, you could avoid Bangkok by taking the new bridge (khampaeng phet Road?), and reach the bangna-trat highway.

Why not hire a mini bus from there. That should save you all the hassle.

I'm flying Nok Air tomorrow 3700 baht all included. Depart 9:40. Arrive 10:30. Bell Travel service right to Pattaya for 150 baht.

Im in HH now. Plenty of ads around for taxis to Pattaya. 3000baht. It will take around 4 hours.

My Bangkok taxi driver offered me 2000 baht 1 way. For less than double the price, I prefer to fly. Before I finish my sandwich, we've landed.

I also have heard about a ferry Hua Hin - Pattaya, but I had never use it...
