Swiss Visa For Thai Lady

Featured Replies

Hello

I am checking this for my gf's friend.

She has applied for a visa to visit her boyfriend in switzerland. this is her second visa.

Apparently someone has run off with her passport and she needs to find out if her visa was granted by the swiss embassy. Her boyfriend in switzerland hasn't got a clue how to find out.

I know for the UK you can go on the the visa cente's websiter and check to see of it has been processed but is there a similar service for swiss visas or can anyone advise how you would go about checking?

She is supposed to be flying out on August 22nd... I think she's going to have a hard time.

Many thanks.

Tariq...

Time is of the essence here, because if the passport does contain a Swiss visa, it's probably already been sold on and possibly used. The woman should immediately report the loss of the passport and the circumstances to both the police and the Swiss embassy, asking that the details be entered on any immigration warning system that the Swiss have. Ideally, if someone does attempt to use the passport, the person who presents it will be caught.

She should then apply for a new passport from the Thai MFA and enter in to negotiations with the Swiss for a new visa.

Scouse.
