Can an experienced hand please advise:

1. The best time of the day to fly to Penang from Bangkok as far as timing with the embassy etc.

2. A reasonable place to stay in Penang.

3. Turnover time for issuing of Non Immigrant (0) visa (in my case).

4. If the visa agents can obtain a 12 monther?

1. Depart Bkk 07:25 Air Asia arrive Penang 10:05. Taxi to Royal Thai Consulate to submit application prior to noon cutoff for applications. Return next day on Air Asia 20:10 flight.

2. Continental Hotel for decent accommodations at about 1,000 baht or perhaps Waldorf Hotel for lower price/mildew - both would have a/c.

3. After 2PM next working day.

4. Maybe if you have full marriage paperwork.
