kippers Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 I have two children, both attending an international school, my wife and I (neither Thai) do a regular one month border run with the kids, I am aware that the kids dont have to (both are well under 12 yrs old) but they come anyway. I have been told by several sources that a supporting parent visa is available. Does anyone have any information on this matter? thanks in advance.
lopburi3 Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 You should check with Immigration at Suan Plu for specifics but this is what is on their website at http://www.imm3.police.go.th/eng/application.html#06 Application for further stay for a parent to support a child who is studying1. Immigration form 7 2. A copy of passport 3. A 4 cm. x 6 cm. photograph 4. Evidence showing at least 800,000 bath in the bank account and evidence of money transferred from overseas or evidence of income earnings 5. A copy of pass-book with bank statement from the bank the applicant has an account 6. Evidence indicating the relationship of mother and child or father and child. All documents not in Thai must be translated into Thai and certified by the embassy or consulate of the country that issues these documents 7. A copy of the child's passport including the visa to stay in Thailand 8. The officials reserve the rights to examine or ask for additional documents if necessary
