DRUG SUSPECT SHOT DEAD

An ex-security guard of an A-Go-Go pub on South Pattaya, was brutally shot all over the body by two gunmen. He was immediately taken to the hospital but he did not survive the gunshots. Police presumed the murder was from Yah Bah (amphetamine) dispute.

Pol.Lt.Col.Thanadet Duengtapiyachai, Banglamung investigator, was notified of a shooting case at 05.30, on August 31st, 2008. The incident was in front of Olivia Apartment, Soi Nong-hin, Moo 9, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi.

The crime scene was an apartment building with about 50 rooms for rent. The incident occurred in front of room No. 1, on the ground floor. Police found a pool of blood and 4 bullet casings of a 9mm gun and 2 yah bah tablets on the floor.

Mr. Somsak Boonprasert or nickname "Ek", (39), the victim who was an ex-security guard of an A-Go-Go pub, had been taken to Banglamung hospital. He had sustained 8 gunshots all over his body. His injuries were too severe and he could not make it to the hospital.

His wife, Miss Mayura Sangmanee (30), from Konkaen province, A-Go-Go dancer from Polo Pub and A-Go-Go, on Walking Street, South Pattaya, told police with tears on her face. She said that after finishing her work at around 4am, she was cooking in the kitchen and Mr. Somsak, her husband, was playing games, waiting to have a meal together.

She heard a noise of a motorbike, arriving at the front of the room, and asked her husband to go out, but she did not pay attention. Suddenly, she heard several gunshots.

Miss Mayura said, she managed to see 2 Thai men (25-30), riding on a motorbike and sped away , left her husband lying in a pull of blood in front of the room. She had her neighbor helping to rush her husband who was severely injured and unconscious to the hospital, but he did not survive.

Miss Mayura assured to police that, she did not recognize the gunmen. Her husband had been unemployed for quite sometime and rarely to go out. It was unlikely that he would have a dispute with anyone to cause the murder. But Miss Mayura had admitted that her husband used to be involved with a woman who had been arrested of convicted to Yah Bah dealer, named "Jae Tak". Miss Mayura said, she believed it was possible that "Jae Tak" could be related to her husband murder as the police accused.

The evidence of Yah Bah tablets, lying on the floor also could answer the murder prediction. Police team would rush to find the facts in order to arrest the brutal gunmen and the person who was behind the case as soon as possible.
