What Are The Alteratives To Trying To Help Someone?

Featured Replies

Down amoung the grease, nuts & bolts of the motoring forum is a little thread about 4x4s and the insurance and tax costs connected with some vehicles. The OP appears a little ratty in light of the helpful (IMHO) replies that have been offered by myself amoung others.

I was taking some thumb-suck figures that I had noted down when looking at changing my car over the past few months. But it appears that is not good enough for Kedawi, the original poster in question.

After a PM alerting me to futher response from the OP - I took a few minutes to make a phone call to a friend in the motor/insurance trade in Thailand to give me up to date information, roughly.

For those members that are beyond the 500 post threshhold and are even remotely interested in this subject here is the information that (I hope) will be beyond the reach of this ratty little poster for a while.

Mitsubishi - Pajero - 2001 - 3.5 Auto.

Cost 1.1 Million Baht (2001), Road Tax about 4,000 Baht, First Class Insurance about 16,000 Baht.

Isuzu - Trooper - 2003 - 3.0 Auto.

Cost 1 Million Baht, Road Tax about 6,000 Baht, First Class Insurance about 23,000 Baht.

Toyota - Landcruiser - 2003 - 2.7 Auto.

Cost 1.9 Million Baht, Road Tax about 7,000 Baht, First Class Insurance about 23,000 Baht.

I'm really just posting here to give a smile to other 'established' members that tried to help this person. :o

Cuban you are being almost far too courteous regarding the OP, I therefore would like to nominate you for this month's Royal Order of Bedlam and if Kedawi ever makes it here Nurse Diesel will perform the 2 Hour Enema.

:o

^uncle,

I read recently in an article about anal sex... that some (wierd) people actually get a thrill out of enemas....

For those of you that don't know Kedawi gets an e mail everytime someone responds to his thread and he states that he does not like to be bothered in this way. I just want to state that it would be childish in the extreme if you were to take advantage of this to add to the thread. Further it would be extremely extremely childish and silly if those responses did not address his particular enquiry. You have been warned!!!!!!!

You have been warned!!!!!!!

That was sarcasm yes?

I just had to send him an e-mail :o

Good Luck

Thread

Could I have the benefit of your views, or am I getting a little sensitive.

I thought I would post here, but it is not about a helping hand go wrong, but my attempt at humour that appears to have gone awry, is my humour in poor taste or I am taking it the wrong way,

If the consensus is I am wrong I will do a public apology.

Cheers

Moss

Man's an eejit. Don't trouble yourself Moss, a minor pun should cause no offence.

Moss, your post was entirely harmless and raised a chuckle from me. I wouldn't let it worry you if he took it the wrong way. The name was simply begging for some comment of that nature.

I thought it was funny mate but I know I have an odd sense of humour :o

I sometimes do the same thing - post something intending it to be in jest and then having to write about 20 posts to explain it and apologise to someone because what is funny in Australia is not in the UK and an insult in America.

<sigh> such are the vagaries of an international forum

I thought your post was insensitive, boorish and completely lacking in humour.

Calling the sponsors sauces unsavoury was at best rude and at worst worthy of censorship by the moderators.

And to then cloud the issue by doing one of your trademark, confusing, multi quoting posts was just taking the mickey out of a relatively new, non english speaking background, valued poster.

Sarcasm and attempted punny posts have no place on Thai visa! :o

Was the second reported post for this week? Into the sin bin with Tigger, Moss.

As the member in question has been given the big "B", I don't think replying to his posts will have too many consequences (any more). :o

On second thoughts, I agree with what he said ( I think ).

An eejit no less :o To be fair I think he was just being defensive regarding his product, not surprising if you have put a lot of work into it.

Thanks Chili, I thought so too.

He is alive and kicking, but as a sponsor now, so I think you might be thinking of the wrong guy?

Thanks for the responses

I thought it was rather a clever pun on the term, however CB, take note :o

He has over a 100 posts??

non english speaking background,

His written English is better that most Brits or colonials, but that, I accept, if intended, which it wasn't could be worthy of censure.
