Teenager Charged with Mobile Theft

As 17 year old Suwat Sriumkarn was walking happily along South Pattaya Road one sunny morning on the 10th September, his dreams for the day came to a swift end when he was confronted by police officers.

He was found with a mobile phone in his possession, which he stole from 21 year old Pechpan Prasert who came along to testify that Suwat had robbed him in the market area further down the road.

What Suwat didn’t know was that Pechpan quickly contacted his brother who is a local police volunteer and it wasn’t long before the search for the culprit came about and Suwat was found.

You did it!!

You did it!!!

You naughty boy, you!!!

So murder (OK, suicide) can pretty well go univestigated, but steal a mobile phone from a police officers brother and you get action!

Not even a "police officers brother," but a local police volunteer's brother.
