92 Vfr400 Engine For Sale?

Featured Replies

Well got some good leads on shops and have the wife and GF checking them out.

The thing is I am sorta wanting to have some performance work done to the engine, and if they fudge it up I am out the original engine. No offense but i figure i might send it abroud to get done up right.

So the question is does anybody know of a good VFR/RVF NC30 engine or decent parts bike floating around? Willing to pay a finders fee to sweeten the pot!

If i cant find anything i might sell it.

Its got the Tyga 211v rear, Tyga Spark Front, Tyga Full exaust with Maggot or Carbon silencer. RVF flat side carbs with HRC jet kit and horns and Carbon HRC tray and Tyga carbon air box. Tyga rearsets and new tires. Stealth waivy rotors front and rear. 520 chain conversion and samco red silicone hoses throughout. Nitron street shock

Don't know of an engine, but if you are selling it without engine let me know because I would be interested.

You haven't told us where you're located, but if you're in Bangkok I'd recommend you check out the HUGE parts wharehouse behind RED BARON on Ramkamhaeng- LOTS of VFR 400 parts to be found.

I'd LOVE to get my hands on a VFR 400 so if you decide to get rid of it let me know.

Ride On!

It has an engine and it runs, but I have blowby so either piston or valve is in need of repair or replacing.

There in lies my problem, my bike is in Samui and i am in Iraq. So I have to take care of everything from abroad and through my wife. Ah i would love to go and scavenge around for parts, salavage yards are like a treasure chest of fun stuff and periodically something useful! Like i said if someone comes across an engine that is useable I am more than willing to shell out for it.

either way, looks like you have TWO interested buyers. As for the engine, I do not know how fruitful a search for a new engine would be. The bike is now 16 years old, and there were not that many of them imported into the kingdom to begin with. I do hear that you can source spares for the 400 bikes from Japan, which is probably where you would have to go to get parts. (They never imported-as far as I know the 400cc into the states either.) Think the safest and cheapest bet would be to find where the blowby is coming from. Even a full rebuild shouldn't be that bad because the cost of labor here is low.

To tell the truth i am interested in getting a 250R its alot easier to tune and part are far easier to come by. I have been trying to source parts from the UK since they have an abundance of VFR and RVF's there. While i didnt mind the 8000 baht shipping charge even paying up front no one wants to ship to Thailand like its a scam! Even after i paid up front...

Well if you people that are interested want to PM me some reasonable offers, I will take a hard look at what I want to do. I would cover shipping and the title and green book are with the bike.
