While the cost is out of this world, it might be a look at things to come. the entire bike frame with spindles weighs in at 40 pnds. Now imagine your standard bike or scooter using the same technology. 150mpg doesnt seem so har really.

Carbon fiber is fun, I think they need to put some seats on those bikes though, imagine going over a bump...

I can't wait to see a bike made from carbon nanotubes!

If I understand the tech correctly, you could probably make the whole bike with it, just thinned out and scaled down so that it would barely weigh anything! You could also make it see-through, or glow different colours!

And it looks like it might become affordable soon!

The only problem with that stuff is that is like a fabric with unique abilities. Although from they way they describe its prperties it wont be too long before vehicles have HUDS and dozens of projects that where considered impossible do to technology limitations will start to take shape.

Carbon fibre is being used more and more these days, but $500 for an unpainted front fender is a bit rich!

There's a European firm that takes Ducati engines, drops them in a carbon fibre/titanium frame.....
