A man was killed and others lost limbs in a car bomb, a female protester died and two cops were shot and one stabbed in the worst rioting since 1992. The People's Alliance for Democracy claims that the Thai government is the illegitimate puppet of ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra. Cops, who also fired stun grenades, were joined by military back-up. Army chief Anupong Paochinda denied coup rumours.
