Cheers for the info.. smaller than I thought. :D

Just out of curiosity, what are you using to convert your dvd's? If you're not using Handbrake (downloadable here), you're doing yourself a disfavour, even though it has a French domain :o .

I'd recommend using the following CLI (I'm a Linux fan, forgive me!) options; they won't break Quicktime and they're extremely good looking results:

 ref=3:mixed-refs=1:bframes=3:b-rdo=1:bime=1:weightb=1:subme=6:trellis=1:analyse=all:8x8dct=1:vbv-maxrate=25000

You can also change the built in preset for the iphone settings using the above recommend changes.

Considering the itouch and hadn't bought it yet, just wanted to know how many movies might be realistic on one of these. DVD Cloner has ipod software that converts movies to the ipod. However if freebie version works easy enough I'll give it a go.

It works extremely easily. Also, it has had multi-threading optimised, so that if you're rocking more than one core on your CPU you'll see significant performance gains.
