New Thai Passport.

Featured Replies

My wife's passport expires in January 09 and We want to visit Hong Kong next month. Does she need a new passport beforehand? I seem to recall some countries require 6 months left on current passport as part of their entry requirements.

Also when a new Thai passport is renewed will she get to keep her old passport? Reason being we have 5 years worth of stamps evidencing we have travelled to various countries in Asia together which may come in handy when applying for a visa to UK.

Yes, they will just cut off an ear to show that it is a full/ or expired PP.

Old PP's carrying important stamps are carried for this reason, at PP control you just show both PP's, present valid and expired but important PP containing still valid stamps.

Good Luck

I obviously mean the front red page of the PP, not one of your ears Chop, Heaven Forbid :o

Chopper, your wife should get a new passport now. It is simple and fast in Thailand.

She will get to keep her old passport if she asks for it.
