Oh yes! It seemed to be right over the top of Plai Lam. The dogs went hysterical!

About 6 am? Even heard it over here, but I could tell it was far away.

I remember one time we had a clap of thunder so loud it made our house shake. Woke me up but my husband snored away. :o

I live in Ban rak and a flash just lightened up the bedroom followed by a HUGE boom!!! Must have been right over us. Ten the massive rain, i was prepared for a powerbreak but luckily enough i did not happen. Today another superhot day so chanses are anybody that missed it this morning get a new chance soon! :D

Hot days, rainy nights. Perfect if you ask me! :o

Ban Tai - Mae Nam, same, same around 6ish, yes, but it's not the time I look for a watch, or clock... by 09:00 everything fine again, Chaweng sunshine!

South China Sea something brewing, doesn't look good...!

I live in Bophut too and that was the worst thunder I have ever heard. Perhaps we are neighbours! haha!

I woke up too and just like you I thought it was a bomb.

I woke up with a shout and woke up my husband too at the same time.

Amazing that the electric still worked after that thunder. I am very happy it did. Too many electric blackouts latley i think. :o

Take care!

Yes SBK it was about that time, 6 AM..

As another Poster said, it was without doubt the loudest Thunder i've ever heard & i've been in 2 Hurricanes in Florida & the Great Storm in the UK in 86/87..

& Lazeeboy slept right through it in Chaweng, either that or he needs to get some Cotton Buds in his ears.. :o
