The Mother-in-law To The Uk

Featured Replies

We are having a wedding ceremony in the UK for the rest of my family who couldn't come to our wedding in Thailand, and I would like my mother-in-law to be there.

So how do I go about this? Obviously I don't have the evidence like I did for my wife when she came over for a visit in the past. I have a few photo's of us together, and of the wedding. I could show the booking that we have for the do here. Is that enough?

Once again, any help would be great.

Thanks

Your mother-in-law can apply for a visit visa. You'll need evidence that you can put her up and that you can pay for the cost of the trip. Also provide evidence of contact between your wife and her mother whilst apart and confirmation of the wedding blessing.

Thanks for that Scouser.. the showing contact between my wife and her mother might be a bit tricky, as her mother can't use a computer, and my wife has a pay as you go phone, ie. no phone bills.

Any suggestions?

Write to the pay-as-you-go provider asking for a print-out of the calls made on the phone. They're duty bound to keep records for crime prevention/terrorist reasons.

Scouse.
