Report Illegal Cosmetic Clinic in Phuket Busted; Uzbek Woman Arrested
Pictures courtesy of The Phuket News Authorities in Phuket have apprehended an Uzbek woman operating an unlicensed beauty clinic, reinforcing measures against illegal medical practices in tourist areas. Known as Maftu, she was caught conducting cosmetic procedures in the Chalong area on June 17. The operation was led by Phuket Provincial Police, alongside Phuket Immigration, Chalong Police, and the Phuket Public Health Office. Upon raiding the makeshift clinic, officers discovered over 13 pieces of medical and surgical equipment, including syringes and vials, typically used for injectable beauty treatments. Maftu was arrested on the spot and is facing several charges: operating a medical clinic without a licence, illegally importing unregistered medical equipment, and working without proper documentation as a foreign national. Police highlighted the significant health risks associated with unregulated procedures, urging the public to seek services from licensed professionals. "This poses not just legal issues, but serious public safety concerns," stated an officer from the raid team. The lack of professional oversight may lead to severe complications or infections. Although no injuries have been reported related to Maftu's services, the incident has raised alarm over the increasing prevalence of unauthorised cosmetic clinics aiming at budget-conscious clients in popular tourist destinations like Phuket. Officials are intensifying efforts to shut down similar illegal operations and encourage the public to report any suspicious activities. That is absolutely correct and Huawei went to a lot of trouble to make it so. Having said that I wouldn't bother to do that If I was a battery manufacturer. I would make my batteries as compatible as possible to enable retrofitting and after-life replacements. This is from Mr. & Mrs. Google Sodium-ion batteries, like lithium-ion batteries, employ a CCCV charging method. This involves an initial phase of constant current charging until a predefined voltage threshold is reached, followed by a constant voltage phase where the voltage is maintained while the current gradually decreases. A configurable lithium-ion charger can be adapted for sodium-ion batteries by adjusting the voltage settings, as the same Battery Management Systems (BMS) integrated circuits can be used for both types of batteries. So although they are not quite drop in replacements for lithium ion chemistry batteries, they are not too different. Just don't expect to use 'em if you have a Huawei inverter. -

Roger Hodkinson -- another in a long-line of anti-vaxer whack jobs who has been professionally sanctioned by his medical regulatory agency for unprofessional conduct and found to have spread COVID misinformation in the past, as detailed below: Hodkinson is a colleague of infamous COVID vaccine misinformer Peter McCullough, who was stripped of his medical board certifications over COVID misdeeds, and co-authored with him a bogus "flawed" study on autopsies on COVID vaccinated persons that was later twice withdrawn by journals where it had been previously posted.
