I was wondering if I applied for a Non-Imm B Visa on a letter of invite from one company, if my work permit needed to be done with the same company?

I have a part time job secured but am not positive they want to put up the money for a WP. I do however anticipate filing for a WP with a company, once I find a stable job that is willing to pay the expenses.

Is the company name documented on the Non-Imm B Visa?

The answer to your question is that once you are issued a Class B visa, that visa is then useable for entry to Thailand regardless of whether your plans change.

The sponsoring company is not named in the visa. When you enter Thailand, Immigration issues you a 90 day entry permit - and they have no specific expectations concerning any specific company that will employ you - or even if you obtain employment at all.

There is no communication between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (that runs Thai Embassies outside Thailand), Thai Immigration (that issues entry permits), or Work Permit Office at the Ministry of Labor.

Good luck!
