Has anyone stayed at the King Royal Garden Inn on Sathorn Road? I've done a quick search on the internet, but, I'm struggling to find reviews for the place & their own website isn't big on detail.

Yep for one night 3 days ago at "Standard room" :D

Some positives and negatives I could think of right now:

+ The closeness to BTS (EXTREMLY close)

+ Internet (1.5 Mbit for me internationally)

+ Very quiet

- A bit noisy AC

- Some wear and tear on furnitures and bathroom

If you have any other questions don't hesitate asking. :o

Did you check out the pool area? I would imagine it would easily get quite crowded - it appears quite small in the photos.

Is reception open 24hr? If we did decide to stay there, we'd be arriving around midnight & their website just seems to mention 24hr security.

The pool isn't that deep as atleast I thought it would've been when looking at the pictures, maybe 1 meter top. When I was staying there I didn't see and hear any other hotel visitors, but the pool area is like you say quite small. Behind the pool is the gym which looked quite nice actually (didn't use it though).

When I was out taking a walk at midnight (jet lag...) the reception were still up and another person were at it compared to at the day. Next morning the "day-person" was there again. So I think atleast to midnight it's open.

How long are you planning on staying?

3 nights. A pool of only 1m in depth sounds a bit shallow for my liking. I still haven't made up mind yet, but, thanks for the info all the same.
