1st Visa Run From Samui

Featured Replies

:D Just planning to do 1st visa run from Samui, in the car, with two kids down to Malaysia.

Can anyone give us advice on do's and don'ts and best way to do it?

Planning to leave on am on Friday morning ferry and blat down to the border, turn around and stay in Hat Yai for a night and come back on Saturday. How does this sound as a plan?

Pre booked hotel on-line so that's sorted.

Any good advice gratefuly welcomed.

:o

I always did it by bus, but always stayed the night in Had Yai. A nice city with some good shopping.

Don't forget the duty free shop at the border.

Sounds like a good plan to me. Like said already, the only thing you can go wrong with is the boat. Especially on your way back, it is important that you have a booking.

Fill up the car on the mainland, also before you go back home, diesel is usually a few baht cheaper. :D .

Have a nice trip.

Ohh, and yeah, if you´re a beer-lover they have carlsberg export in hat yai. Almost worth the trip only for that! :o
