The song-tows arent too bad. More frequent than public transport would be i reckon. I see most of them display a fare guide inside the passenger cab as well these days.

wish we had songthiaws on Phangan. it's either share taxis that run to and from the ferries late morning, or renting a motorbike to get around...

One of the hotel minivans actually went a little to far out to the left were they happened to dig a one meter deep hole to fix the drainings. Looked pretty nasty. Hope there was nobody in the bus except the driver.

wish we had songthiaws on Phangan. it's either share taxis that run to and from the ferries late morning, or renting a motorbike to get around...

Songthaews are not just the big trucks but the pickup trucks with the two bench seats as well. Koh Phangan has had songthaews for more than 20 years. They just don't run on a regular schedule like in Samui.

Indeed, minicab driver...business as usual :D ...at least this driver did not hit someone headon or drive over the head of someone on a moto :o
