2 Tourists From Jim's Lodge

Featured Replies

Listening to JS100 on the way in to work and there was a call from Jim's Lodge regarding two girls who checked out about 3.30 am. They were meant to be joining up with a bus leaving for Cambodia at 4.30 but the guide called in to say they didn't show up (waited until about 5.00 am).

One girl is Irish, 24, and the other is an Aussie aged 22. The receptionist from Jim's Lodge only gave the Irish girl's name but I couldn't really work it out from his pronunciation, surname maybe something like Maylis. Security at the hotel got full details of the taxi, but the center can't raise the driver on his radio.

Hopefully there's nothing wrong and they just changed their plans, but if anyone knows these girls I think the young man at Jim's Lodge would appreciate the info - he sounded very concerned about them.

Where is Jim's Lodge? What province or area?

Soi Ruamrudee, Bangkok. Ploenchit area.

I think the bus for Cambodia was leaving from Lumpini Park.

Maybe they took one of the casino buses which depart from outside Lumpini Park on Rama IV, by mistake. I don't think these are pre-booked and have guides (although I may stand corrected).
