Shopping In Pattaya Questions

Featured Replies

Hi , am a 12 to 14 australian size and would like to buy clothes and not just bags and shoes in pattaya lol.......will i find to fit (as Thais are so small) and if so where?

Also where are the best places to shop in pattaya and are there night markets like there are in most places?

Often like to go to markets after dinner, where would i find them?

Thankyou.

Lots of Markets, Day markets are Soi Bukow Tuesday and Friday and Baht bus will drop you off there

Friday Saturday and Sunday is Theprasit Rd Night Market gets going about 6.00pm till 10.30 - 11.00Ppm

Royal Garden Shopping Center on Beach Rd

Big C on Second Rd, (has a shop upstairs just selling larger sizes)

Mike Shopping Mall on Beach Rd

Tesco Lotus in North Pattaya Rd

Carfour in South Pattaya Rd

Plus a host of shop all along Beach Road and the road that runs behind it that is called Second Rd.

If you take songthaew (baht bus) from the Woodlands always agree a price with the driver first unless you are going around the loop which is Beach Rd to South Pattaya Rd and then back up Second Rd to North Pattaya rd round about (next to the woodlands hotel)

Fares on this trip are normally 10 Baht for a westerner however don't be suprised if you are asked for 20 baht per person.

If you take a baht bust off the loop to a specific location expect to pay 100-200 baht for the journey depending on where you are going. Agree this before leaving.

There are many other things to do and see in Pattaya and I am sure you will get lots of info on here.

Try the ground floor of Mikes in particular for gear especially geared towards western bodies.

Thankyou.....today someone told me to go to Mikes, they got lovely embroidered jeans there. I hope i have some luck.

many thanks.

In the

Royal Garden Plaza Beach road

BIG C Second Road

BIG C Suckumviet road (Jontiem end)

there are many stores selling cloths that will fit your size.

Tailors will make cloths to measure. Though these people drive me insane, if you

place to big an order with them, in my experience many items will be wrong. Outside

many tailors they have a sign giving prices, when you go in store many time they

have told me that these prices are just to get me in and they cannot sell at that price.

When you pick material, they then say that is more expensive. I believe they can very

easily make from any material in the shop prices below, And to be honest I could be

paying too much.

These are some prices I have paid in Tailors

Shirt 500bht

Suit 3000bht

Trousers 1000bht
