My initial thoughts looking at the 3 of them was that they might have been acting as forced "mules" unable to say no to the demands of some international criminal gang , but considering that perfectly smokable cannabis is available here on a retail basis for 4 baht per gram , and buying 30kg of the stuff would have cost maybe 1 bt per gram , probably even less, So in reality it has cost about 30,000bt, about the same cost as a flight, hardly evidence of organised crime, but well within the scope of the three miscreants pictured Had it arrived in europe,? well in the UK for example , if sold by the kilo it would be worth around £ 4000 per kilo ( 160bt / g) which gives it a total value of around 5 million baht wholesale, but if it were to make its way to the street corners of council estates it could be sold for up to £15 (600bt) per gram, giving it a potential value of 18million baht All that money All because of reefer madness , and the associated prohibition, If people world wide were simply allowed to grow their own, all that money could be put to a much better use ,and when we add to that, the cost of enforcing "the madness" we are talking a serious amount of money , So why not legalise weed globally and end world poverty, and with the money left over we can make alcohol free , effectively silencing the most vocal opponents
