Just heard that bars in Pattaya will be closing at 1am on Xmas Eve and NYE. Can anyone confirm if this is true?

I will be gutted if it is. I dont want to be sitting in a bar with the doors locked and no music all night.

New Years night and new years day in pattaya is always a horrible let down , by 11 oclock the bars are devoid of any women . walking st is really bad ..

because they have all gone home to celebrate or are taken out .

same in phuket . empty bars . fireworks throwers drive them away also .

Easy.. bar fine one a few days before and take her away some where

I will be back home on the 31st and looking to celebrate, you all think I should stay local and see the new year in that way?

It would be nice if the strings were loosened for a couple of nights a year.

As far as I know, bars will be ordered to close at 1am on New Year's Eve. It appears there will be no special dispensation (as in previous years) for the bars to stay open till 6am on New Years Eve and Chrismas Eve. But having said that, I've heard that the majority of bars will ignore the law, and dare the police to shut them down. That should be some fun!!

Eyebee- oh love to see them try and shutdown every bar/club. Prob just ignore it.
