Thank God

However, for Thailand to resume or even to get up the ladder in providing it's nation as a tourist nation someone has to arrest those that caused physical damage and personal injury to both sides. Policeman missing and no one gets arrested.

Someone somewhere has to realise what is the real effect of terrorism surely what the PAD have done is the worst form of terrorism, the cost in loss of business and the unnecssary hardship caused to over 300000 stranded passengers will have it's true cost weighed up in the years to come.

The future loss of Thailand in terms of investment and not to mention the real possibility that all this can happen again is what we should consider.

To protect all Thai Citizens and those that have chosen to live and work here those that are in a position to do so must safeguard Thailand from destroying herself by ensuring that any signs of such public outrage is quickly brought into control.

A few laws need to be reviewed and enforced by individuals who will carry out orders, not allow themselves to turn this nation into one of jokers

:D When will you learn....in 24 hours no one will care...in a week no one will remember. Thailand has been the land of cheap booze and easily available bargirls....drugs on the beach....full moon parties where you are sure to get laid. Nothing will change. Next year no one will even care. Sex and fun in the Sun will always sell.

As for the tourist industry (so called) Thailand will still be the preferred destination for that type of tourist. (In my humble opinion, Thailand really could do without them).

As for foriegn investment, that's moslly a joke. Yes, there is some, but the usual first question, which you see often on this forum is, "How can I get money OUT of Thailand?" Yes, there are some honest investors, but please find me one who is more interested in benefiting Thailand than they are in stuffing their own bank accounts. Yes, that's human nature, I agree. But please don't try to feed me that 'foriegn investments are good for Thailand" stuff. Profit comes first, Thailand second. (Profit for Thailand is only impotant if it makes more money for most foriegn investors.)

Don't expect too be "compensated", it won't happen. Did anyone voluntarily return any profits to the Thai government whe the sterling/baht rate went up to 70 a few months back? I didn't think so.

:o

Which will have a bigger effect on tourism, the pad or terrorist attacks in Mumbai. I bet Thailand is effected more! Will they learn? I think not.
