Is there a bus to/from Pattaya-Nong Khai? I presume I might catch it in the petrol station across from the street running to Siam Country club?? I also presume it drops off at the Nong Khai bus term.

What are the quality of the VIP buses can I get some sleep and how much?

Yeah there is a bus which leaves from the Petrol station right after the Central Pattaya road intersection with Sukhumvit going Northbound. It leaves at approximately 6 pm and arrives at Nong Khai bus terminal at around 6 am.

Aye its the 407 bus.........approx 400 baht up to Nong Khai........you wont get much sleep, i/d rather fly up . The 407 does the run 7am and then again 7pm, 8pm and the last one is 9pm as far as i remember..........you can go up and book on the morning you want to travel.
