Well i have done 223mph on a 365bhp turbo hayabusa in 2004,( also rode it on the road to bruntingthorpe where we acheived that figure ) , but things have moved on, check this out,.

What kind of tires are rated for 220 MPH?

BTW - a guy on a ZX-12 hit 320 on 5th Gear which he reckoned was a European record. Yeah it was green.

You were doing 357 kph by my calculations. WOW!!!!!

I think it has to be a LOT higher.. On the ghostrider vids Patrik Fürstenhoff is putting that turbo busa out on public roads with traffic and often the speedo is 299 maxed out for large sections where hes well over 300. He also done 200mph wheelies (claimed a 220 in practice) and a 302kph (180ish mph) 2 up wheelie.. Guys in the speed wheelie comps pull 1km 300kph wheelies fairly often.

i'm pretty sure TM's ninja is an '06. love my yami....love kwaks too. had a zx6r before this R1....that was some bike. best ride for me to date was 3 years ago on the zx6.....5 or 6 other liter bikes and that ninja did her bit keeping up. i had to cane the little bitch the entire time but still she took the pain :o

we have similar taste in bikes....I also did the zx6r thing then the r1 thing...geeze i miss her :o

Ur a champion - keep it upright & enjoy....the green bike looks hot & has good brake goodies to match its looks.

travel mate is a legend too :D

My first Kawasaki was ZZR 600. Rode that baby during my Singapore stint, early 90's.

You are a bad man Crobiker....you've had a lovely list of machines. :o

keep trying Sefton. 200 MPH is 320 kph & you haven't mentioned any speeds above it - turboed Hayabusa or not. The B King & The new V Max are 200 HP out of the box.

Wish I had the link to the U tube video of the drag bike that hits about 200 MPH through the traps, then the wind catches his glove. jerking his hand off the bars & then he crashes.

A lot of bad shit can happen at those speeds.

I got the Ghost Rider Box set. He's f'in crazy.

Well hes claiming a 219.? MPH wheelie so if hes still on the back wheel at over 350kph you would assume hes got more left in it ?? The large sections over 299 are WELL over 299 not just around there but blasting through it and still accelerating. I think theres claims of around 400kph or so from Ghostie on public roads !! You have to follow the revs and calc the speed up.

The tubo busa of furstenhoff was dynod at low 400 bhp for normal boost and 49x? something for 1.2 bar from memory.. Almost a 500bhp bike !!

This nutter has clocked 424.64 kph !! That was also a couple of years back..

Not sure I understand the question.. Presumably timing equipment ??? Or would that be too obvious..

Special events often have them.. This was at Elvington airstrip..

The guys who do the 1km speed wheelie comps record the average speed over the km with the front in the air the entire time.. and still pull in 300kph average..

It would have to be some form of 'timing equipment', most radar & laser speed detection equipment wont have the ability to measure speed that high, its not in their operating range.

I don't mind going fast, but 424 is absolute insanity.....unless your flying a plane of course :o

Yeah sure.. I would guess at those insane speeds it would be some form of gated system..

Sadly, I have never been a man great on taking photos, actually I would probably only have 100 photos from my entire biking life & there all in storage in a box somewhere, however I did find this photo on my old external drive & thought I could share it with you....its a scan of an old photo print LOL

This was my 1st ZX6R, I think 97 or 98 model, prior to this I had a black ZZR600 which was a lovely old bike too. Its funny to look at this pic and see how much they have changed shape and style....this one I barely identify with the 6's of today..... :o

Just found this in my Picasa folder:

Was a lot of fun for an early morning ride here in the sticks.

Once stopped at Chalong circle from the BIB, tried to find the ignition key :o ....for stopping me or the engine.

Aye! Happy new year!

Here's the only other pic I took of the busa

Here's another bike... who can guess what bike this is? (Hint, it's sitting on showroom floor tiling)

Theres no doubt about it, 'The Bus' was certainly a unique (somewhat ugly) machine - PLENTY OF HERBS!

As for ur mystery bike...is it in Thailand? Its got some type of shroud above the rear wheel - single sided swing arm - shaft driven - small holey brake - must be a scooter - but the rubber looks too big for a scooter? :o
