Kan Win / Mods, maybe you could alter the title of this thread to "Wildlife of Thailand... ... ... ..." ?

thereby encompassing all creatures from the region.? it could also double up as the place to put all the ever increasing 'what is this bug, bird, reptile, animal etc.. ?' posts in a 1 stop Q & A thread.. just a thought.. Whether it stayed in the Photography, or Plants, Pets & Vets sections would be up 2 y'all but i'm sure a dedicated area for this subject would good for the forum..

anyhow, here's a couple of non bird shots i've taken around Chiangmai..

Great photos, all! One of the surprises I had in moving to Thailand is how much wildlife there is here.

Goshawk: I bike or motorcycle through the CMU Agricultural lands near Doi Kham at night occasionally and have had an owl fly along with me. Never get a good look at it in the dark, but am wondering if you have any experience with owls here. That area over there is rich with birds of all kinds.

the Owl? Hmmm.. really wouldn't like to guess, as it could be one of a few.. You're correct though, the area is fantastic for birds, all the pics u see in this particular thread by me are taken from there - my (Thailand) local patch..

any further descriptions of the Owl or photo's if u have any would be most welcomed..

Keep a sharp eye for this one T_Dog next time u ride thru there... sorry for the grainy image, but these abundant winter visiting skulking beauties are notorious for not allowing us to get too close to them.. they're so shy u have to lure them out with 'tape calls' as i did here..
