Debian 5.0

Featured Replies

Debian 5.0 "Lenny" is out.

If you want to try it :

http://cdimage.debian.org/cdimage/release/

There are a lot of CDs, but only the first one is needed for a base install (debian-500-xxxx-CD-1.iso).

There is also a LiveCD but I'm not sure at all it can be installed from it.

DreamLinux 3.5, based on Debian 5.0 "Lenny" is also out. It's available with iso files for CDs and DVDs. I installed the CD Gnome image to a 4-GB thumbstick and am very happy with the results. The installation took 1.2-GB as reported with "df -h". It includes firefox, thunderbird, gimp, rhythmbox and a host of other applications. No games are included. I added pysol as the only game. Installation for netbooks is available plus a setup for WiFi.http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Internet-computers-communication-f17.html
