Info On New Metered Taxis In Pattaya

Featured Replies

Last time in Pattaya I saw they now have some Metered taxis looking like those from BKK but with a Pattaya sign on them.

Those I saw were not cruising but parked in front of a mall on second row.

Does anybody know if the meter rates are similar to Bangkok or how they operate?

They are a SCAM and a SHAM. They have working meters but they DO NOT use them. The taxis are owned by the same company that runs the baht bus mafia. Totally corrupt monopoly, totally accepted by city hall, what else would you expect in Pattaya? BTW, their non-meter rates are perhaps 4 or 5 times greater than a similar metered ride in Bangkok.
