Hi,

Rose Garden is still there, but the once beautiful garden is a little worse for wear these days. Same lovely Thai lady that runs the place however. Not sure how much per night, probably between 600 to 700 for an a/c bungalow. That is what is was a couple of years ago anyway.

As for internet, I live in Lamai and I have access to bluechip wireless which covers a lot of the area. Very reliable and ultra fast connection. Works very well for me as I use my laptop at home, and occasionally when I am at the Spa for lunch. Bluechip covers that whole area.

Good luck with your fast

Yeah, Bluechip wireless is pretty kick a##.

I'm getting in excess of 5meg download, my bit torrents are working overtime at the moment. I haven't had to buy a DVD for ages.

Here is a snap shot of a speed test I just did:

Is this joke I not believe speeds like that are available in Thailand?

I will try rose garden thank you do they have bluechip there? i cant see it on their website.

if you look at the speedtest it say Maxnet not bluechip and it says it in bangkok. this is fake.

Maxnet head office is in Bangkok so that is correct.

It does look a bit fast though.

looks a bit to fast !

Bridge, are you getting the same results?

Hi Boater,

I use to do the Thai Visa speedtest before it disappeared from the tool bar a few weeks ago. I was however getting similar download speeds. No complaints from me.

Topper here

I'm using Bluechip over in Chaweng at the moment. I'm staying at my friends house which is on the hill next to the Jungle Club. He has an amazing connection up here.

I am downloading bit torrents at 620Kb/sec!!!

I also get 4mb speedtest to Sydney and 5mb to San Francisco (I have servers there)

Topper.

I have just been informed by Barry at Thai Visa Sales, that the speedtest is still there. It is at http://speedtest.thaivisa.com/

Anyway, I just did a speedtest on my Bluechip wireless connection. Very impressive considering I am up on the headland in Lamai past the Renaissance Hotel.

Woah that's fast.... and great value for money. I hope coverage moves up to the north of the island some time soon!
