Rugby For Old Farts In Bangkok

Featured Replies

We all know how difficult it is to get motivated about fitness and the thought of going to the gym is enough to drive a man to drink (well, it did me anyway). Why don't you pop down to Shrewsbury School on Sunday afternoons at 4pm for a bit of light training and stretching, followed by a little bit of touch rugby to finish (if you're not dead already).

The Old Bangkok Bangers are a great bunch of lads from all over the world and from all backgrounds. There's no snobbery and no inflated egos. We occasionally play like-minded teams from all over the world and like to go on jollies to places like The Philippines, Hong Kong, Cambodia, Vietnam, China......

All are welcome - old pros or absolute beginners. :o

Marmite:

It might be helpful if you include an approx. direction in your post of where Shrewsbury School is located. As I understand it (from looking at your impressive site), the nearest BTS station would be Taksin Bridge - correct?

Also, I cannot seem to see whether or not you charge subs for this.

Cheers

Sorry old bean!

There is a members fee of 1000B/year which entitles you to happy hour prices 24/7 at the clubhouse (Wall Street, Suk Soi 33), and the training is free otherwise.

Shrewsbury is indeed nearest the Saphan Thaksin BTS station, as you've deduced from our lovely map.

And thanks for the kind words about the website.
