Usually the company doing the drilling sort out the registration and you just give them the money.

When we did ours 4 years ago it had to be registered in Surattani.

I really hope that someone on this forum can help me with some info as I want to check out if the Surattani ordeal still holds today. Thanks for your reply

Panka,

Are you drilling the hole yourself? What depth are we talking about? You are allowed a certain depth without a permit. If it's anything over 30 metres ,I think, you need a permit. If that's the case it would be a company doing it & they would look after all the permits.

Panka,

I think you only have to pay , on certain types of wells when you use them eg:communal well in village.Once you have your permit ,nothing else to pay.

Then I will verify again with the person taking care of our house. We are just moving to Thailand and all is new to us. So at the moment I am checking all that I am asked to pay as I am still new to all these things.
