Anybody got any experience good or bad with these guys.Looking at building a house with pool and this company has been suggested to do it.Any info most welcome.

From the name, its seems they are consultants rather then contractors. If it is Siam Construction, then the story would be different.

Its Siam Consultant,I believe main office in CM.They do however build etc as well as consult.Where are Siam Construction based ?? Do you think same Company ??

A construction manager can also build, by using sub-contracts as they do not have any construction equipment and skilled workers of their own. Thus its a plus plus situation, with sub contracts 2 or 3 levels down. Besides management fee of the CM, there will be duplication of withholding taxes.

Siam Construction is just an example that I have raised. I do not know of such a company.

I fully endorse Mr Rimmer's comment. My experience of the farang owned 'consultant' companies are at the other end of the country from the OP, but I am sure they are all on the same scam of ripping off unsuspecting farang land owners - bribery, bare-faced lies, overcharging, need I go on? Wherever you are in Thailand i would recommend you avoid them like the plague

I would beware of making sweeping negative statements. According to their website, SiamConsulting's mission statement is exactly to prevent what the posters above are complaining about. it is quite easy to apply for quotations and compare the prices and services before jumping to conclusions. My house was built 3 years ago by SiamConsulting and I am perfectly satisfied with it. They saved me around 500,000 baht on the next nearest quotation. I also personally know three other clients of theirs whom I reccommended them to, and they are also satisfied at both the quality and the saving. As far as I know, SiamConsulting only provide individual home services and construction to clients in Isaan. Their main work appears to be submitting feasibility studies for large construction projects and alternative energy solutions. They also appear to be the only swimming pool constructor who has the guts to publish their basic prices on their website.
