I always give them 500baht, generally they are here b4 I put the 'phone down..we are no doubt on different lists.

If someone wants to pay for a service that should be free, that's their choice. In the long run though, that practice does nothing to raise the standards of a company - in fact standards are more likely to go in the opposite direction.

I download the schedule file from Truevision's web site and extract the dates and times of the programs I want to see. That's fine until the end of the month, when the b*ggers don't update the file until the 1st of the next month so, for a time, I only know one program ahead.

I used to check the scheduling from the website, but the new website, (of three days) is designed by a moron.

I can see the programming on the TV for (several?) days ahead, but I use the old receiver. They brought me a new one when one of the old ones conked out, but I found the situation you're describing made it useless, so I asked them to return with the old type. Suggest you do the same

i did the same ,the new box was rubbish,so got them to repair the old box.

I use a Dreambox. No hack required just hit the EPG button. On many stations it gives a complete guide for 1 week.

Let's see what they have to say about the missing "ubcschedule.zip" file. Maybe some <deleted> thought: "This is an old UBC file, we don't need to maintain that any more because we are now TrueVisions". :)

Did you find an answer to this?

I emailed them only yesterday with the same question if I could download their EPG data in a file and they said no.

What was the file format of the ubcschedule.zip file when you were able to download it? XLS, XML etc ?

Thanks

I think I sent them 3 messages altogether - via the "Contact us" page, which has always elicited a response in the past. But they have stopped replying to me now, so I guess it's simply never going to be available again. For the last several months that they supplied it, I occasionally had to contact them to remind them to update it as it was often the previous month's file that came down, even though the download link had the right month's name. So clearly, the people updating the web page had little contact with the people creating/updating the file.

The file contained a set of text files, one for each channel, that had the dates and times of every single program on that channel in time order and formatted exactly the same way every month. So it was easy to write my own program that extracted from this file the dates and times of all the programs that I was interested in viewing.

I've managed to attach one here:

Not sure if this topic is still active but I have had UBC / True for the passed 3 years and never had any problems with the EPG my Decoder is a Topfleld TF6300IR however 3 days ago when I plugged in the decoder a message came up on the screen telling me it was upgrading . After this over the air upgrade was finished I am now only seeing on my EPG my current program and the next ! Were as before I would be able to see days ahead .

So I contacted Truevision and they sent me a list of local dealers , One dealer told me it would cost 2000 baht so I could get the full EPG service like it was before and would take 2 weeks .

I then tried a second dealer who told me that True were no longer sending out the full EPG any more and even if I bought a new receiver I still would not get full EPG , I did try a second receiver in the shop they had and that was the same EPG Guide only shows you your current program and whats coming up next . Now I went to a local bar and checked there decoder and they did have full EPG but there decoder is only 14 months old .

So it looks like its one more rip off to try and get more money of of you because like the rest of us I dont read the silly mag they send as most of the time its all ways late or its got the wrong address on it so the EPG is the only way to find out what on unless you want to start down loading files from True .

Cheers
