Hi Guys,

I need to buy a car soon.......

Please advise what you would choose from between:

  1. Toyota wish
  2. Suzuki Grand Vitara 2009
  3. Honda CRV

Could also comment on fuel economy, uses, reliability, etc

Looking for spacious car/SUV, around this price of 1.2 million baht max. Other suggestions welcome too!

Cheers in advance :o

For personal taste , design, comfort and the reliability i would decide from these 3 for the CRV- not sure about the fuel economy though.

Both Honda CRV and Toyota Wish are nice cars and you would probably be satisfied with eighter one of them. (Don't know the Suzuki one enough to have any opinion on it whatsoever)

But if budget is an issue you might also have a look at Toyota Innova, the top of the line model is just over 1 mill.

My choice would definitely be the Wish, that beast is really spacious, and I am happy with Toyota. The Suzuki is somehow a Wanna-Be-thing, and I just don't like Honda too much. Had bad experience with a brand new bought Civic a few years ago. I don't think the Suzi/CRV will seat 7 people very comfortably (no problem for the Wish)...

How about the Mitsubishi Space Wagon?

Similar to the Toyota Wish, but better engine and more space.

Space Wagon starts at 1.465.000 THB and that is a bit above the op's stated max of 1.2 Mill.

Wish starts at 1.059.000 THB

Innova starts at 820.000 THB

Crv starts at 1.180.000 THB (this price might be a bit outdated)

A little bit over, but GM Thailand sometimes have good discounts:

Cheverolet Captiva starts at 1.287.000

Fuel isn't going to stay cheap forever. I'd never buy another gasoline powered vehicle. Unfortunately diesel alternatives are few and far between. The Chevy Captiva is a fairly expensive alternative but with the diesel it would certainly be my choice.

I have a 2008 CRV I keep in the states. It is simply a great car in every detail. Sits well, carries everything, just so well done. Had to change the wheels and tires into something that works but all in all its been a complete pleasure.

Depends upon what the OP needs it for. With that budget, I'd choose none of the given options and would be heading for a Camry or Accord. Or buy a truck and put 500k in the bank.
