Cleaning Service

I recently had both bathrooms renovated and my entire condo was coated in a fine layer of dust that got into eveything. In addition now I'm single again the place is a mess in general.

I had planned on cleaning everything myself a little at a time and finally said the hel_l with that.

I tried a couple of advertised places in the real estate magazines and Home Maid was the one I got in touch with. The lady suggested 3 cleaners for 8 hours for 2100 baht which I agreed to (I thought 2 would be enough but money wasn't an issue for this one off cleaning for me).

Anyway, WOW! They actually spent 9 solid hours cleaning and brought in a 4th person for the last 4 hours. I was really impressed with everthing about them. Really professional, had all the equipment and supplies (including stepstool), arrived right on time. They moved everthing and got behind furniture, and even cleaned the inside of drawers and closets. The price seems a little high even for pattaya but I will probably have this done a couple times a year. They were hoping to get a regular cleaning schedule but I don't really need or want someone in that often.

It was a pleasant surprise to have such great service when the usual standard is to strive for mediocrity as an upper limit.

I wish the renovation company had been this good.

P.S. A word of warning. If you have anything embarrising in the drawers you will find they sorted all your sex aids by type and organizied the condoms by size, color and texture. At the end of the day I found a porn DVD sitting neatly on the shelf. I have no ideas where they found it as I hadn't seen it in a year or so.

Cleaning service like this is indeed available in the Kindgom, but not easy to find. On a small scale(personal Note) it took the wife and I some two and a half years to find a good maid, we wouldn't trade this lady for a million baht. :o:D:D:D:D

you paid 2,100 for 1 days work by 3 ladies, for around 6,000 a month you can have someone work 6 days a week - every week - no reason to be happy paying what you paid.

My whole point was the quality not he price.

A month of mediocre service for triple the price plus the inconvenience of having someone underfoot all the time is what you are comparing it to. In my case, a short, intensive, high quality (yes, and pricey) cleaning service is exactly what I desired and received.

Joe - thanks for posting.

This is exactly the sort of service we are looking for. The wife and I will normally keep our place clean and do not need a regular maid. However, every now and then the place needs a 'Spring clean' (if we have been away for a while or have visitors coming to stay).

OK - 700b per maid per day is not cheap but, if they do a good job, provide their own materials, and it's only a couple of times a year, it's got to be worth it (we would spend that on a nice meal).

Only ever considered a maid after having the baby. Even I am sober often enough to give the house a going over :o

I do take the point about the convenience though. Anyway, what on earth could a maid do 6 days a week in the average house except watch the telly ? Even cleaning, washing and cooking are not enough to keep her gainfully employed unless you have a mansion.

i have used Homemaid on many, many occasions to clean up after building works, decorating, for showing houses for sale etc

they are definitely the best around, i have tried the others but they came up short and were much more expensive.

they even turned out for me on xmas day with an hours notice in an emergency drain situation 4 years ago.

the boss ladies name is EU (eeyou) and i highly recommend them to all on TV

keep her number safe you may need it one day......
