It feels like our apartment is overrun with dust and cat hair and sweeping is not cutting it, do they sell small hand held vacuum cleaners here?

They are certainly available here. In fact, I bought one earlier this year from the electric appliance department at Paragon. I would guess that Homepro and Central sell them also.

I bought an Electrolux Ergorapido which is really cool.

Cordless stand-up vac that includes the built-in dust buster.

Not cheap but if you have the need for floor care and a dust buster, great way to go. very happy with it.

buy it at all major department stores = central, home pro etc

Yes, I like mine too except the charged battery doesn't last very long on full power, which is much weaker than a normal vac, the dust bag is quite small and it doesn't easily go under normal beds very easily. I don't think I would buy another for those reasons.

Also the rechargeable batteries do not always last long in the hot conditions of Thailand.

My first set only worked for about 12 months before they were useless. They were replaced free by Electrolux.

My second set is almost 3 years old. The batteries have very low power when cold but after about 3 minutes they warm up to give out more power, enough for about 5 mins adequate usuage. They probably

need to be replaced, but I am waiting for battery technology tio improve further before I waste anymore money!

I bought the Electrolux Ergorapido last month on sale for 2900 baht at Central Chidlom. Excellent solution to the dust/hair problem and really nicely designed!!
