Dynasty Inn Soi 4

Hi All,

Normally stay Dynasty Inn. Up for a few days ,any reccos same area that maybe better ? cheaper , value for money at the mo ?

Happy to pay 1500 but dont mind a basic room thats clean , afterall probably wont be in the room except for (sleeping)

The Dynasty Grande is just a bit further up Soi 4, then you turn left into 'Soi 6' - same company, much better. Then there's the JW Marriott which is a good bit more expensive but it's better, that's in Soi 2.

I was going to suggest the DG, which has bigger rooms, pool, gym and very good wired Internet free in-room (plus wifi in the bar). I noticed (from the BTS) they had a big banner announcing discounts (which has vanished now) but their rates are pretty high - might be worth an enquiry. They do a discount for a month paid in advance (~30% IIRC)

Otherwise the Majestic Suites on the corner of Soi4 and Suk, was always reasonable. Like Dynasty Inn it has a (slightly) up market sibling named Grande over on Soi 2, there's a short-cut through to Soi 4 if you need it.

Cheaper alternatives I wouldn't know about ( ) but times are hard and it's worth shopping around.

I have stayed at Dynasty many times but have found the standard rooms very smelly not of smoke but a mouldy damp smell, the so called superior rooms are no better but the deluxe rooms 1800bt and the suites 2200bt are excellent but you have to ask to see the room first to make sure you get a good one.

They no longer have UBC, THE SECURITY IS EXCELLENT AS ARE THE FOOD AND BEER PRICES.

The Dynasty Inn ,, is showing its age ,, Try its Newer Sister Hotel The Dawin hotel further down Soi 4 ,

I was checking out room rates on Agoda last night and you can get 5 Star hotels for around 1,500 Baht. Much better than the DieNasty.

I stayed at the Dynasty Inn last month and that will be the last time. They have not done any maintenance for years and the rooms stink now also the reception attitude was not very good.

Agree with previous BM,s comments , the " DieNasty " is well past its sell by date, The rooms do smell ,very dark and dingy ,

Went to see a friend that was staying there,, last year and i did not even want to stay in the room for a chat ( Room at the so called, New back annexe ) , said would meet him outside ,

Could try Stable lodge Soi 8, not a new hotel by any means , but peaceful location, yet near the Action

Agree with ISS. Some rooms can be smelly (moldy) with small insects running about. Some girls at front desk have crappy attitudes; they seem to be the ones in charge. Needless to say, don't leave any valuables in room.
