I just noticed this thread....shocked to say the least!

Never met Jim in person but spoke to him couple of times via phone and emails. We were to exchange some parts since we ride same bike model. He sounded to me like really nice and mild mannered fellow.

My deepest sympathies and condolences to his loved ones, rest in peace Jim.

How surreal that this thread should be revived today of all days. I'm in Tak now with Jim's widow where the wrongful death case is being heard in court today. We're hopeful that a ruling will be issued this afternoon.

It's hard to see all of the accident photos and re-live the tragedy again. Just want to let you all know that Jim's widow has been quite moved by the many expressions of sympathy and condolences that many of you have shared on this thread. Thank you.

Thanks for the update Tony & please let us know what the results of that court action are. I hope Jims family is coping in that situation.
