Let Us Put The Thai Passport Offices On The Map

Featured Replies

I saw information about the location of some passport offices posted in reply to members' questions, put these three offices on the ThaiVisa map, and now would like to do the same for all other passport offices.

I understand that a link to the addresses of these offices is on www.mfa.go.th/web/2639.php but this page is only in Thai. If anybody can give me these addresses I would be grateful.

From http://www.mfa.go.th/web/473.php?id=3158 I understand that there are passport offices in the following towns:

Bangkok (3 offices)

Chiangmai

Khonkaen

Songkla

Ubon Ratchathani

Surat Thani

Nakhon Ratchasima

Yala

I already have Ubon Ratchathani on the map and for Bangkok the offices in Bang Na and Chaeng Watthana. For the other offices, I still need help with the location.

With the help of Chalky, who kindly sent me a PM with the details of the location of the Surat Thani passport office and photos I was able to put a placemark for it on the map:

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&amp...ef4fabb649e7ea2

This is how he travelled from the Donsak ferry to the passport office:

Directions from Donsak ferry: turn right and follow the 4142 to Surathani for approximately 22km then stay on the 401 all the way into Surathani centre (approximately 38 km). From the outskirts of the city centre, stay in the centre/right lane and continue over the river bridge/roadway, straight across the 401/4213 junction and look for decreasing numbered sub sois on the main Soi Talad Mai on which you are now driving.

Soi Salaprachakhom (Namuang) is on the right junction at the traffic lights after Talad Mai 3 BUT THERE IS NO RIGHT TURN POSTED (and a police box on the junction!).

We followed directions to the Wang Tai hotel where one can either turn right into same at just after Talad Mai 2 (just before the dual carriageway divider starts) and do a U turn back to the junction (keeping left of course) OR one could cut through the PTT petrol station on the right at the aforementioned junction on the way in.

Travel approximately 100 metres down this road (keep to the centre lane/right side) which borders the river on your left, around a sharp right curve, and turn into the first entry on your right, the passport office is the building on the left.
