How Do You Slice Your Phuket Pineapple?

Featured Replies

Phuket pineapples are known throughout Thailand as the sweetest and juiciest.

I like to cut mine into rings as that's the way I ate them in the UK, but, I notice that it is sliced vertically if you buy it pre-cut.

I think pineapple rings taste better.

How do you prefer your Phuket pineapple sliced?

Agree that Phuket pineapples are sweeter, but Si Racha pineapples are juiciest!

And - always cut in rings when I do it.

A person after my own heart

I did have a very good pineapple that was both sweet and juicy in Surat Thani once, though that could have been just a fluke.

Did you ever try pineapples from Hua Hin? Compared to those the Phuket things are just dry and sour...

Not much happening up the Andaman today Sir Burr ?

Talking of pineapples, a young English man I was talking to here at the beach one day, told me he'd been in Phuket 4 weeks and still not seen a pineapple tree !... :)

Sir Burr is on a trolling streak. Seems he wants to beat Weho's record but unfortunately seems to lack the innovative streak
