I may need to do a boarder run to extend my visa soon. I have never done this before and wonder if I really need to go to Pattaya for the service. Since there is now a quite high number of bars on the strip I wonder if any of them are offering a border run service?

I actually need an extra 9 days on top of my 30 days. Obviously a 7 day extension is not going to cover it so I need a way to get the extra 2. I will go to the immigration office in Map Ta Phut first to see if they can give me 9 instead of 7 but I'm not sure what chance I have.

Pretty sure MPT immigration will not give you the 9 days, max is 7...

You could also get a 7 day extension and then do a two day overstay, total cost would be THB 2900, may be easier ie THB 1900 for the visa extension, then THB 500/day overstay

Go and talk to the boys in the Camel or the offshore bar, remember seeing something about visa runs on one of those two bars, failing that a trip to Pattaya is in order and do the run from there.

Land sea and air of Pattaya do a pick up from Big C in rayong. Havent done it for 2 years now but I should think they still run the service. Pick up was about 6:30 am.

Get the 7 day extension and then just overstay and pay the 1k for 2 days, not the end of the world.

Check into casino shuttles. I have done that from Chantaburri. I would imagine they have them there also. The one in Chan has several minivans that leave when full and wait at the border until enough people are ready to go home. The ticket is good for round trip as long as you return the same day.
