G1 And Dtac

Featured Replies

I have an unlocked UK  G1. I could not send but could receive sms via 12call. So I got a DTAC sim instead. No problems, but I cannot enable gprs to check email. If on a wifi, no problem getting emails.

Anyone have a G1 with suggestions?

Thanks

Have you taken it to a service center? The technicians set it all up for free. Takes about half an hour. I checked my phone after and they had put in lots of different settings and servers for every function. If you don't have the right setting in for the function it won't work, which would explain why it works over wifi, but not over the network

I called both the AIS and DTAC centers and they knew nothing, especially about this model phone.

There must be some APN settings that I have to input, but cannot find them for this particular model.

Settings, Wireless controls, Mobile networks, Access point names - add the DTAC apn details.

For your AIS SMS problem, it needed the SMSC number. Both can be googled for. It took me a while to suss these out too...

Cheers

The AIS AIS Thailand +66-18110888 and WP1800 +66-16110400....

Where do I input these, as the apn settings windows do not have a number location.

And on the DNS, you input those under server? It only allows 1 ip to be input.

Thanks.
