Options For Connecting Laptop To Internet

Featured Replies

A Thai friend of mine has just purchased a Dell 1440 Inspiron laptop but has no telephone line in his room and is out of range of Wi Fi. What options does he have such as an aircard to enable an internet connection? What type would anyone recommend and what is he likely to pay for the service and with what service provider? He is located in Bangkok Ratchada area.

Living in the Bangkok area, I would think your friend would have a great many options.

I live 300 km north of Bangkok in a village that has no phone line. I recently bought a phone from CAT. I am using their CAT/CDMA service for 590 baht for unlimited use.

PM me if you want any other info. Good luck

You could first try and get a USB signal booster for you latptop. You maybe able to pick up some free wifi.

Im looking at this CAT for upcountry also.

You can also use 12call and use that as a modem to connect the laptop to the net.

Plenty of information availibel for this on this site.
