Asus Eee Pc 900 Keyboard Problem

Featured Replies

Does anybody know if there is an Asus service centre in Chiang Mai?

or failing that, where would be a good place to go for repair to a laptop keyboard? How about Goodspeed? Any other ideas?

All ideas very gratefully received! :)

If you are only using the lap at your house I would suggest to buy an USB one. Repairs can be very expensive.

I had the same problem with mine last week. Took it to Chi Chang in Chiang Mai Land. Will get it back (Cross your fingers ...!) with a new key board for 1'290 THB end of this week.

My 701 linux version went recently.

There's a good forum for the eee at http://forum.eeeuser.com/index.php so you could try searching for advice, as the keyboard actually removed quite easily and you can check connection and clean it etc.

That didn't work for me. I got a usb for 220 in panthip, which plugged and played and I love. It doesn't get hot on my lap and I don't care about the old keyboard now.

Yes - it is at - ASUS Authorized Service Center133 M.1 Chiangmai-Hod Rd., Padad, Muangchiangmai, Chiangmai665327-3644,

Replacing a laptop's keyboard is easy - you can do it yourself with a screwdriver. I'm sure there's howto videos on e.g. youtube.
