Featured Replies

I need an internet connection for my house. I am staying at Tambon Pran, Sisaket.

This seems like a small village and I don't know which communication company can provide internet service to my house. Please kindly provide me some information.

Thank you.

Hi

Have you, or any houses nearby got telephone lines??

If not, I would suggest CAT telecom. I have a number of friends using this now in small villages outside of Surin and for about 800b (for 3meg)

per month plus an initial outlay of around 13,000k they get a very good & fast service.

You might want to check out CAT CDMA, that is what I use in in the small village I live outside of Surin. It works anywhere in Esan. I checked with TT&T, but they wanted 30,000 baht to install. TOT wanted 15,000 baht (no phone lines in my village at this time) Guess whoever is the 1st person to get a phone in the village has to pay for the line to be run. CDMA I had to pay i think 8000 baht for the USB connector. Get unlimted use for 800 baht per month. Not real fast but works ok. Can use skype.

another cheaper option is buy a edge modem 2000baht get a one2call data sim,for 535 baht incl 7%gst you get 250 hours.

no set up costs and works great in my village in kalasin.

Whatever you do, Do not get TOT IPSTAR. Every single person I know has ditched that for CAT CDMA which is faster and cheaper
